Biological, a protected term within Europe
The use of the term biological is exclusive to companies that are certified biological, it is a protected term. This also applies to the use of bio and eko in the name. Eko Shii-take B.V. has had its products checked by SKAL Biocontrole and Control Union for many years. Quality is therefore at the top of Eko Shii-take’s list of priorities!
10 Top Trademarks
It is not easy for consumers. The total number of (sustainability) trademarks is almost 100, but only 10 are leading trademarks for food. Milieu Centraal compiled this top 10 together with the Dutch Nutrition Centre (and other experts). This list is intended to make it easier for consumers to make sustainable choices. Eko Shii Take B.V. owns several of these top 10 quality marks!
EKO Quality mark
Eko Shii-Take B.V. is in possession of the EKO Quality mark. This EKO Quality mark confirms the organic cultivation of the mushrooms. No chemical pesticides and no artificial fertilizer are used. Organic farming standards are based on preservation of the environment, nature and landscape and animal welfare. EKO is a top label because of high score on control, transparency and sustainability.
From wood pulp to mushroom
The Organic mushrooms of Eko Shii take B.V. are grown on wood substrate from Germany. Raw materials with a production process that is both Eko and Organic certified. It is this qualitative chain that ensures that the consumer can choose a qualitative and organic product. “What was picked with utmost care in the morning is on the plate a day later!”
